Sometimes an hour is all you need. Alongside fuller engagements, I offer one-on-one consultations for designers, practices, homeowners and anyone else interested, with a discounted rate for students.

In this focused time—typically online—we work together, and you have access to my expertise in any subject area required. The value is simple: an hour of dedicated attention from someone who teaches for a living, asks precise questions, and can translate big ambitions into practical next steps across design, fabrication, and research. Whether you arrive with a messy work-in-progress, a technical bottleneck, or a decision that needs pressure-testing, we’ll use the time to sharpen your direction and build momentum.

Every session is different, but topics often include:

– 3D scanning workflows (photogrammetry / LiDAR), point clouds, meshes, as-built drawings
– Design critique + project direction (school or practice)
– Working with trees + wood: sourcing, selection, joinery, detailing, build strategy
– Digital fabrication and workflow development (Rhino / Grasshopper, CNC, robotics)
– Research + writing support (proposals, narratives, diagrams, documentation)
– Portfolio / application review (structure, clarity, images, text)
