Prioritizing local and salvaged materials, Using Trees Studio employs tools close to hand to enhance the inherent characteristics of particular pieces of wood. Items made serve as functional tools and carefully crafted objects of inspection. Fitting in a workshop, the kitchen or on the mantle, our pieces bring a warmth to the spaces they occupy and promote a more tactile approach to living.
Using Trees Studio was founded by Zachary Mollica, an architect, educator, and maker who works with trees. Zac's work has most recently been exhibited at the Cooper Union in New York. The show, Other Wood Pieces, featured works closely related to the Storywood pieces in our current collection.
